Functionality:
Standard ILMs apply uneven pressure, causing the IHS to bend concavely and reducing cooler effectiveness at the center (thermal hotspot). This contact frame shifts pressure to the edges of the IHS, preventing bending and maximizing cooler contact across the CPU surface.
